Hanri: even the predecessor didn't have the power to remove any usernames, or altering the site, that's the job for the NewMBC. AND to my knowledge, the site IS about to be altered so that the spammer problem will be solved. Patience!

Might be a bit simplistic but can't the html be disabled in posts. Then there would be no point in anyone trying to spam because links wouldn't work. There would just be annoying posts on the site for a while.

I had a brain scan 2 years ago - cost me £800 (880 euros, 1,300 dollars) and all I got was a certificate to say I did have one (brain that is) which I suppose is useful when I get challenged.

Once a spammer has come in and spammed, I go in and, by hand, remove and block each one, but they never post as "them" again... soooo...
The NEW site will have the "Captcha" system, which SHOULD help!
