Screencap Challenge

We can all post various Python-related screencaps for other people to guess the origin.

This game came from arkennedy's comment/blog "Monty Python Games" (http://pythonline.com/blogs/arkennedy/monty_python_games). Thanks!

Here is the first screencap. I have also prepared several more from the same place, which I will post later if people express difficulties. In theory, they will be from hardest to easiest, but it's hard to judge since I know the answer. Anyway, good luck!

Mrs Attila the Hun 93:

I've done it again. I join a game and when it's my turn, I completely forget about it! My apologies, amigos. Here's one for you now.

arkennedy: It's not my turn to post any screen caps but I decided to bring this thread back into circulation. I think Mrs. Attila the Hun may have guessed the last one but I'm not entirely sure. If she was right then her turn is next.

Lvndr HppE at 8:17 pm April 24

Yeah, Mrs. Attila the Hun got it right. I might have forgotten to mention that. :-$ Sorry.

arkennedy at 8:46 pm April 24

That's okay, the thread has been buried for a about half a year so anyone could have done the same.

I had forgotten about this thread but found it again while looking for something else.

Lvndr HppE:

Lets see who can get this!

Mrs Attila the Hun 93 at 7:49 am October 06

It's Graham as a linkman, I think, where he talks to this Viking who calls him a fairy, and later on he introduces the Arthur Tree interview sketch thing.
Series 1, episode... erm... Arh! It's the one that has the First Man to Jump the Channel, Pet Conversions, and Lingerie Robbery sketches, but I forgotten the name! Darn it!

Mrs Attila the Hun 93:

My turn! What's this from?

Not that late at 12:27 pm October 05

I think we need a hint.

Lvndr HppE at 6:36 pm October 05

I concur.

Mrs Attila the Hun 93 at 1:45 am October 06

Not a huge giveaway, but a hint nonetheless:
"What did you want?"
"Dirty books, please."
"Right."

Mrs Attila the Hun 93 at 1:46 am October 06

MADDOX!

Lvndr HppE at 7:37 am October 06

Ohhh! I know what that is. Oh, crap. What's the name of it? The Tudor jobs sketch!

Mrs Attila the Hun 93 at 8:03 am October 06

Okay, I'll give you that. It's close enough. It's from the Sir Philip Sidney sketch that comes straight after it :)
I noticed the customer from the Tudor Jobs sketch looks very much like Sgt Maddox (The guy in the 1st screencap). I thought it really was him, but after watching it a few times, I found out that he isn't... I don't think... yeah...

Just ignore that last bit xD

arkennedy:

here's another one

arkennedy at 10:20 pm October 04

I just realized, that last screepcap I posted is a repeat for this thread. So ignore that one. Sorry about that.

Lvndr HppE:

Guess where this is from!

Mrs Attila the Hun 93 at 12:48 am October 05

It's Che Guevara and Karl Marx! They both appear in the World Forum sketch, but this cut scene appears just after it. This lovely making-out scene slots in-between both the Ypres and Strike at the Art Gallery sketches. (Series 2, Episode 12: 'Spam'.)

Lvndr HppE at 8:47 am October 05

Wow, thats impressive.

MontyPythonrocks18:

Heres one I found:D

Lvndr HppE at 3:05 pm October 04

That's from episode 39, GrandStand. The Oscar Wilde sketch.

Mrs Attila the Hun 93 at 4:30 am October 05

"Your majesty is like a stream of bat's piss." XD

Lvndr HppE:

Alright. Here's one I capped a few months ago.

arkennedy at 3:10 pm October 04

I recognize the sketch but I don't know what it's called. It's from Do Not Adjust Your Set and the nurse says the baby looks just like his father.

Lvndr HppE at 3:35 pm October 04

Yup. Thats it! ;-)

the_thina:

here then

Hanri at 11:14 pm September 30

Is that from "The Bishop"?

Mrs Attila the Hun 93 at 10:06 am October 01

Or... is it from "Art Gallery"? :-)

mrsCutout at 2:52 pm October 01

I think it's from the bishop!

mrsCutout at 2:52 pm October 01

No no it's from the Art gallery!

arkennedy:

I just rediscovered this thread and decided it was time to bring it back

the_thina at 6:56 pm September 30

PixelPixie: May I recommend a cap too? Even I don't remember which sketch is it from exactly. :)))

Tiel Pearce at 12:43 pm September 21

It might be The Mount Kilimanjaro Sketch or Merchant Banker. I'm leaning toward the former.

Shut your festering gob you tit!

mrsCutout at 1:05 pm September 21

No in the killimanzaro sketch there was a map on the wall!i think it's the 2ond or the sketch before the MONEY program... i'll check it now on the dvd

PixelPixie at 1:25 pm September 23

Her's a bigger pic:

the_thina: after a bit of confusion here, Ill learn to post the number from now on.... here it is, again. and as I said, there is a bigger version if this one is too hard

Recess Elm at 6:15 pm September 16

Would that be the 'Dirty Hungarian Phrasebook'?
