Michael Palin Diaries 1969-1979

I love Michael Palin.....and all the Pythons for that matter. I have not read his book "Michael Palin Diaries 1969-1979". I have a whole stack of virgin books sitting in a corner that I should probably get through before I buy any more books from Amazon.....but if someone would like to send me this book for the holidays....nudge nudge wink wink...

No I will read in time, but I bring up the Michael Palin book because I briefly perused a review by Peter Keepnews - staff editor International Hearld Times. In the context of talking about the classic Silly Walk Sketch, he wrote :
"...pay particular attention to Cleese's interaction with the meek young man in search of a government grant whose walk, alas, is not particularly silly. It's the heart of the routine, and it's a perfect example of Michael Palin at his most endearingly Palinesque."

The heart of the routine. Palin is a master

ladycaviar: I'm scanning through old entries, trying to catch up after winter break, and I first read this as "Michael Palin DIES." I start hyperventilating, my heart almost stops, and I damn near peed on the chair I was so upset.

THAT'LL teach me to go to the top of a mountain for two weeks without internet access. Damn. Where the eff is the bourbon? I need a valium. That wasn't funny.

But your response was! It's good to have you back Lady, don't do that again, or you will be punished!

(I'm sure the boys could think up a suitable punishment...)

I told you it wouldn't take long...
