themontyfreak: It can't be THAT cold where you are. Out my way it can get down to -20F, with snow, hail, etc and I love it!

its not OUTSIDE... INSIDE its cold.. My pad is in an uninsulated brick building over a garage. the bricks retain the cold (or heat in summer). Its actually about 55-60 outside and around 50 inside.Food stays fresh when I leave it out. I caught the same cold that GNA has.. also I like to whine a lot...

I rented a house in Burbank with no insulation, and just a wall heater. In the summer it was like standing under the only sparsely foliaged tree in a densely packed parking lot, with the metal cars bouncing the heat from their surface onto you. In the winter, you might as well have been sitting on an iceflow with Nanuk of the North.

Never good when nursing a cold.

Wishing I were a Husky at the moment, brewing some tea and sulking.

But better scenery...

I wonder if there's a Jerry's Deli with Matzo Ball soup on Oahu...

he should take down that comforter and wear it if he is so cold....
As for deli's in Hawaii
Only two delicatessens in Hawaii import kosher food, but one of them uses the same knives to cut kosher meats as they use for cheeses and non-kosher meats, so it isn't really a kosher deli. The other kosher deli really is kosher: it's O.K. (meaning "Oahu Kosher") and is called Yudi's Deli and is located at 2740 East Manoa Road (next to Boston's Pizza in the old Shell station), Honolulu, HI 96822. Phone (808) 988-6700. Not only does Oahu Kosher and Chef Yudi Weinbaum bring his award winning cuisine to Hawaii, he also offers fully prepared meals and kosher catering for the islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island of Hawaii. No hotels in Hawaii keep kosher kitchens. For more information you may call the ubiquitous Chabad Lubavitch (Lubavitz) at (808) 735-8161.

It's important when you're feeling icky. (to me at least)

but part of my job as the Command RSM is to know where to get supplies and expendables in any location.

I'm originally from the Midwest... I miss the snow, sleet, hail, tornadoes... ahhh... that was the life...

Now, it's sun, sun, sun... all day and all night. I tell you, it's enough to make a grown girl mad! MAd I tell you!
