An ultimatum...

You have less than one hour to submit to our demands, or my gods will devour your moon!
(Please disregard this message if you're in Australia, China or Japan. Everyone else: tremble at my power!)
Have a nice day!

gna42: Although, the clouds intermittently covered the eclipse, it was still an awe-inspiring sight!

I bow to your power!!

Please don't smite me. (smite? smote? smit?... oh I give up...)

If anyone has worn 3-D glasses to watch a movie, to read a comic book, or to peruse 'uge tracts of land (or a single digit tract {if so inclined}), then you could visualize the difference between seeing the moon eclipsed or the "normal" moon.

When the Moon is being eclipsed, the Earth blocks direct sunlight from illuminating the moon. So sunlight is "bent" around the Earth and the Moon is instead illuminated from ALL SIDES. We (on the Earth, I hope!) see the Moon in three dimensions only during an eclipse or when it's waning or waxing it's surfboard.

I watched it rise over Brian's House, next door (BTW Jeanna, 'e's molting)!
