my landlord has done a bad bad thing.
today it was a note on the front door to my house.
they are gonna take discovery channel away from us and repace it with a fucking sports-channel.
what am I gonna do without mythbusters? now I can throw my telly out. its just brain-rotting crap on anyway. and sport?? no way, boring boring BORING!
Im gonna go play murder in the dark now I think.

themontyfreak: If the cable company took the Discovery Channel away from me I would be bored as hell, I love the discovery channel (especially their show mythbusters). I would hate to have it replaced with a sports channel too, honestly why would they do that?

yeah. discovery (and mythbusters) is an intelectual oasis among all the bad sitcoms and terrible reality-shows like big brother. and sport is just boring. my landlord is obviosly a sadistic bastard. :(

Reality T.V as well...how is it even reality anyways? Nothing is real in that genre, it's just putting people into unusual situations (that most people would never do for free) and see how they react.

yeah, I really hate that too. its so stupid, see how pepole make national laughingstocks of themselfes because they have one in a tenht chanse to win a large sum of money. and give them booze and air them having drunken sex live. I dont know whats worse, the fact that shows like that exist or that pepole watch it.

The fact that people watch it (though it's existence is pretty bad too), some people would do anything for money, regardless if they're on t.v. But still, it's pretty bad.

yeah, money (and that twisted form of fame) makes pepole into monsters. if I remember it correctly, it was andy warhol that said that everyone was gonna have 15 minutes of fame. and that has come true, in a very scary way.
