Thanks :)

BroMaynardG: If you were not told it was a cat, it looks like you are wearing a veil.

Here's one of my cats. Looks like a parrot!

Myanmar!

That is cute. I hope things are going better for you than they were before. My only question of your parrot like cat.

"Can it talk...?"

BroMaynardG at 12:37 pm April 20

Tommy can't see either. (Hence the name - Tere would not let me name him "Blind Pew")

Pinball!

deaf and dumb as well is he?

His mom tried to litter train him too early.

Rolled him around in "What's Brown and Sounds Like a Bell?".

Got infected.

End of story.

He knows where everything in the house is, including my shoulder!

Now, Little Bit, the 10 yo dauchshund, is a different story. She too is blind - a rescue.

Being a Brindle, she was prone to blindness. Her other name is "speed bump".

The Who?

I give you kudos for taking in rescue animals. There are way too many being euthanized every year. I do animal rescue work online, trying to find homes for shelter animals. If everyone who decided to get a pet would get them from rescue shelters the number of needless deaths would be cut drastically.

I recently did some animal rights protesting to try and keep3 a local no-kill shelter open in town. They lost, but they had 30 days to find homes for all the healthy animals and i guess it was the unhealthy ones time to go. I know in my heart I did everything in my power but it was all too little too late. Got me several news interviews and my picture in the local paper. Woo hoo I guess I mean I guess my parents think thats pretty important but deep down inside I feel like I let down those animals and if I had paid attention sooner... but then again if I hadn't paid any attention at all would it have made any difference... such questions... I don't know maybe I should have been bothering the film students to put me in their productions, I probably would have been better off.

Activism can only take one so far I suspect and then you kind of hit a wall when everything you believe is pure and good comes crashing down about your head. One of these days I will weather through it and conquer all my mountains so to speak.

Tonight I send my cat away on a plane to go live with my inlaws until we get there which will be in two weeks and until we get settled which I am not sure how long that will take. I am hoping our landlord is one of those landlords that lives far away from the housing and never checks up on residents to make sure they don't have pets on the premesis.

Otherwise I might have to wait a little while to be reunited with her. At least I know she is in good hands, my inlaws are sweethearts.

- - - I'll call you POOH. (Much nicer sounding that P.U.!)

You missed out in the description of my menagerie some posts WAY-back. (No Biggles, not a Ménage à trois! Sex, sex, sex. That's all 'e thinks about. You're always on about it... morning, noon, and night. 'Will the girls like this?' 'Will the girls like that?' 'Is it too big?' 'Is it too small?')

Down to 5 dogs and 3 cats.

The Cockapoos, George and Gracie, are ivory and ebony. They too, were rescues. Since they wake me up too early, I call them Cock-a-Poodle-Doos!

Gracie was embarsado (pregnant) when we got her. 5 were George's. The 6th was a border collie's. (Hence the mention of the Ménage à trois). "Coco Chanel" is my daughter's (She gets dressed up in pink all the time!). The rest were given to nice, well picked families.

BTW, she dumped the adzehole! That makes my four broken ribs well worthwhile! When she saw what he was capable of doing, she got rid of him.

I'm Off To A Great Year!
