MashCast Installation
Installing MashCast is much like installing any other Windows-based PC application. In order to sign in to mashcast.com, you will need to Register and get a MashCast ID. For information on how to do this, see Account Registration.
The minimum system requirements for running MashCast are as follows:
- A PC running an Intel® Celeron® processor at 1.4GHz, or Equivalent
- Windows 2000/XP
- 512MB RAM
- 100MB free hard disk space
- Display adapter capable of 1280x800 or greater.
- Windows-compatible sound card and speakers
The following files will be installed on your PC:
- MashCast.exe – The program itself.
- Supporting .DLL’s and Files – The rest of the files needed to make MashCast work.
- AssetSync Database Cache – Where your assets will be stored.
Running the MashCast Installer will place a folder called MashCast in your Start Menu. To run the application, click on MashCast from within this folder.
Uninstalling MashCast
To Uninstall MashCast, click on the “Uninstall MashCast” icon from within the Start Menu>MashCast folder. When MashCast is uninstalled, MashCast.exe and its Supporting Files and DLL’s will be deleted. However, any files you may have imported into the Asset Sync Database Cache will remain. In this way, assets from previous versions are automatically preserved in the event that you want to uninstall and reinstall a later version. If you want to remove the program entirely, you must delete the MashCast folder manually by going to C:\Program Files\MashCast from within Windows Explorer.
