Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life

I have just been sat listening to this song again. It brought back memories of my son Josh's celebration (we refused to call it a funeral) on 9th June last year. He was 17 and a Python fan. At the end of the service he was taken out of the church to Eric Idle singing Always Look On The Bright Side of Life. I have to say it brought a smile to many faces. Too many young people were there to have to impress on them the utter sadness of the situation, that should not be their last memory of Josh.

Always look on the bright side, everyone.

Holly: I started to cry when I read this post. My brother passed away very young too. He was 13. I think calling it a celebration is great. I'm so sorry for your loss.

the_thina: first of all, I am sorry for your loss.
but it stil sounds like a bitter-sweet memory. I dont want the pepole I love to sit and cry rivers and listening to sad music at my funural, and yes, bright side of life is one of the two songs (the other one is a swedish one that you wont know if I tell you anyway, but it has the same consept as bright side of life) that I want to be played on my funural.
the swedish one is more of a ballad though, so first that one and then bright side as a finale.
