BroMaynardG: I am re-posting a few oldies-but-goodies.

(In creating a blog or posting a "filthy image" index it using "TAGS". It will make retrieval much simpler, so sayeth the Book of Jeanna (Rare).)

In this one I did a SEARCH (of CONTENT) for "Buffy", as there was a reference to "Holy Hand Grenades" in "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" (vials filled with "Holy Water" which were thrown at various beasties).

You can also SEARCH "Cruciger" a medieval symbol of Kingly authority. A cross over the world!

Hunt for such TAGS in the "UNIVERSAL CLOUD TAG" (on your left) [see "Show all tags?] which takes you to an index of all the tags that members have assigned to their posts. Properly indexed with appropriate TAGS, you can retrieve a post you made long ago and re-post for all to enjoy/resent again.

If you notice Brother Maynard was a pivotal character in both of his scenes. In SPAMALOT, HE is Arthur's pipeline to God.

From Wiki - "The official Monty Python site, PythOnline, sells a toy replica of the Holy Hand Grenade. It is a golden plush ball with a cross on top and a label reading "Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch," with a tiny hole on the bottom. Inside the toy is a whoopee cushion, which makes a flatulent sound when squeezed (the mouth of the cushion has to be pulled through the hole to re-inflate it). The instructions on the package read, "To use, squeeze the hand grenade". On the side of the package is an excerpt from the Book of Armaments, as read in the movie.

On March 19 2009, several buildings in Shoreditch, East London, were evacuated after water company workers discovered a replica of the Holy Hand Grenade under a fire hydrant cover.[3] The workers reported the suspicious object but the bomb squad determined there was no danger and after about 45 minutes they declared the area to be safe."

BroMaynardG: Yes, I know that vials of Holy Water were referred to as "Holy Hand Grenades on "Buffy The Vampire Slayer".

However - This one is Danish, I think. Post Script from Wiki - "The globus cruciger (Latin, "cross-bearing orb") is an Orb (lat. globus) topped (lat. gerere = to wear) with a cross (lat. crux), a Christian symbol of authority used throughout the Middle Ages and even today on coins, iconography and royal regalia. It symbolises Christ's (the cross) dominion over the world (the orb), literally held in the dominion of an earthly ruler (or sometimes celestial being such as an angel). When held by Christ himself, the subject is known in the iconography of Western art as Salvator Mundi ("Saviour of the World"). It is associated with the sceptre."

(If it's one thing I know - It's The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch!)
