I am Arthur Putey

I was sitting at my desk at work today, after having a customer yell at me for something completely out of my hands...I realized...I am Arthur Putey. My job is dull. Dull, dull, dull...as is my life. I mean, granted there are wonderful things in my life like my son...
So, after my realization, I just blurted out, "I am Arthur Putey!" the other girl just looked at me and started to laugh. I looked at her just as serious as I could and said, "I want to be a lion tamer." I don't think she's ever seen the episode, but she knows me well enough to know what I'm quoting from. So, now I just think...if I didn't have that thought when I did, I'd have probably started to cry instead of laugh.

WolfSpirit: Haha that amuses me. Poor Arthur... poor you.

And now for something completely unrelated...

I had to to with my parents and little brother to the park district inside pool thing. And as for almost all indoor public pools half of it was reserved for lap swimmers... but I started laughing cause I thought of the idiot olympics... the swimming race thing for non-swimmers.

I still adore Arthur Pewty... he's like... one of my favorite characters of Flying Circus.

I, too, have had plenty of Python character moments... it's quite funny since half the time i don't realize it until a day or two later lol

Lady and Laird Candermine: awe.... That's a wonderful way to handle it. I know that complete strangers who have unjustly yelled at me (especially at work) have put me in tears... what a great way to look at it.... thanks for sharing... May you tame lions in your sleep! meow

sit-on-my-face: Everybody is. He might be the most realistic and sincere of all the pythons characters.
Anyway. At least, you're not a mouse.

thewastelandr: I love that story! I think most of us can relate to that feeling at some point in our lives. It's always good to have a Python character to relate to. I feel like I'm usually Ron Obvious...

I've had a few Ron Obvious moments...& one partial pepper pot moment, in high school, I didn't bury a cat, but I did shave it. The fur was bothering my allergies. No fur, no problem. she just laid there putting & let me do it. I gave her puff balls on her tail.

Aww what a nice cat! Yeah, there are definitely some pepper pot moments. The whole illogical arguments just trying to prove the other person wrong like the penguin on top of the television set. Those are always fun to win even though you know you've won nothing!
