oh yes, with charm just dripping out of his skin. that sounded a bit gross when I put it in words, haha, but he IS dripping if not spraying charm all around him. :)

thewastelandr at 3:38 pm February 16

Yeah, he definitely is! :)

the_thina at 4:18 pm February 16

yeah. he had like, what, 3 minutes in holy grail, and that little time was enough to make me go nuts over him even if I had no idea who he was. even if he was next to eric, who with graham shares my first place as favourite python, even if eric looked smashing in that red wig (me loves redheads) it was still neil that got all my attention, and that is not bad

thewastelandr at 11:31 pm February 15

Ahaha... good caption!

the_thina at 11:34 pm February 15

haha yes. Im in a wierd mood today, sorry. ^^ one of the oompa loompas look like arnold swartzerneiger! (however its spelled)

thewastelandr at 11:37 pm February 15

I looooooooooooove that movie!

the_thina at 11:47 pm February 15

haha, yeah me too. but the boat-ride when gene wilder starts rabbeling that thing that marilyn manson turened into a song later... you know "is it raining is it snowing" and so on... that is pretty scary to me still to this day

Holly at 10:55 am February 16

When I was a kid I just couldn't believe that they showed a chicken getting it's head cut off in that tunnel.

the_thina at 10:57 am February 16

yeah, its very freaky. I still dont understand what was going on in their minds when they wrote it. haha. but I loved getting scared as a kid, still do for that matter..

Holly at 10:59 am February 16

Did you know that the audio book is read by the one & only Eric Idle?

the_thina at 11:05 am February 16

no??!! soo cool! :D the swedish audiobook was read by a fab actor too, ernst-hugo järegård. he was the type you either love or hate, there is no grey zones with that man, and I am one of those who love him, and it all started with that audio-book. :)

thewastelandr at 11:50 pm February 15

It is... I know what song you mean.

the_thina at 11:56 pm February 15

yeah, dont remember what its called, is it just "boat trip"?

thewastelandr at 7:19 am February 16

I don't know either... I think you're right.

the_thina at 10:11 am February 16

prelude (the familly trip) its called. I dug out my record. :)

thewastelandr at 10:13 am February 16

Ahh ok. It is a crazy song!

the_thina at 10:18 am February 16

uhu. but I love it, I love most of mansons music up until holywood, after that one they kind of lost track of me and my taste though

just have to post this again, the duck-hat was around even back then, and why is he wearing a pyjamas? haha

thewastelandr at 10:58 am February 15

Oooohhh is that a onesie he is wearing?? So cute. I love his outfits!

the_thina at 11:05 am February 15

well, Im not sure WHAT it is he is wearing, but it sure looks like a pyjamas to me. haha

thewastelandr at 11:37 am February 15

It's cute, regardless :)

the_thina at 11:48 am February 15

haha, yes it is. :)
oh, btw have you seen this:
I could do without the stupid voice-over, but its just so fab and funny. <3

thewastelandr at 11:51 am February 15

OHH I love it! I love how they are each wearing different shoes, so that the one next to them makes a pair. Cute! Thanks for posting!

the_thina at 11:56 am February 15

oh, I didnt even see that, but you are right! haha. I was too buissy just watching the moves and thinking about how much time they must have spent practecing, and just sitting with a big stupd grin on my face. haha.

thewastelandr at 12:03 pm February 15

Ohh yeah... it must have taken a while to practice. I think that when I see "they are naked and they do dance" - it must have taken a little while to choreograph that out too!

the_thina at 12:09 pm February 15

yeah, and when it comes to the head balet I wonder how the hell they cameupwith the idea in the first place. so wonderfully wierd! and the dance.... there I wonder if they were the first ones doing it. I have seen meny variations of it, mostly with baloons, as a kid, but they were made THEN in the 80s...
and then 1 year ago these guys showed up at a talent-show and everyone just loved them, and I got to admitt its funny:

thewastelandr at 12:38 pm February 15

Yes, I believe that they were the first to write/perform that. I'm not 100% sure though.

OMG that video was hilarious!! I love when the guy dropped his ... hahaha

the_thina at 12:42 pm February 15

yeah. it would be fun if they were naked with baloons though. but propper suits is just so much more brittish. ^^

haha, yeah it was all the rage here back when they first showed up doing this. ^^ and btw, the things they are dancing with is a swedish sort of bread. knäckebröd.its hard bread and very healthy and in my oppinion underestimated, its very good

thewastelandr at 12:50 pm February 15

See, I think doing it with suits is the funniest part! They are just brilliant.

Ok I was wondering what it was, because they break so easily at the end. Haha, too funny! Looks like your version of American Idol or something?

the_thina at 12:59 pm February 15

haha, yeah it adds an extra dimension of sillyness to it. ^^

yeah, I know it can be found in america too, since oprah talked about it once haha, but you have to look a bit for it I think.
nah, its sort of like idol, but not exactly... we have a version of idol too, but this is called talang (talent) and is more wide-spred, not just singing but all sorts of things like magicians, dancers and everything you can imagine beeing performed on a stage

thewastelandr at 1:30 pm February 15

Ok I see. We have a show here similar to that, but I can't remember what it's called. I don't watch tv, haha.

the_thina at 2:16 pm February 15

haha, no I dont watch much tv eiter, and when I do watch I dont really pay any attention to shows like that, Im more into documentarys (MYTHBUSTERS!) and like ncis and stuff like that. but this one spread on the web very fast. thats one of the good things with internet, if something worth seeing is on a show like that you will always find them online later. :)

thewastelandr at 2:25 pm February 15

Ohh yeah yeah I love watching clips on youtube and such - so that is how I keep up with popular new clips I suppose. :) Some of them are just very cult-like - people send them to everyone they know! Hahaha... love internet!

the_thina at 2:32 pm February 15

yeah, speaking of youtube, came to think of another band that for me is like the bonzos in modern time. these boys are norweigan though. and they are soo cool live, everyone wears a suit, one member (known as mr kaizer) has a gas-mask on, and they have big oil-barrols they just beat and beat on like crazy.

thewastelandr at 2:38 pm February 15

Hahaha wow... I actually really like them! Speaking of bands from that area, do you like Sigur Ros?? My brother and I are really into them.

the_thina at 2:45 pm February 15

yes, they are very good. check out theirother songs, I think there are some live-clips of them on youtube as well.
hmmm, have never heard of them...

thewastelandr at 6:52 pm February 15

They are amazing. You should check out more of their songs too. So perfect for studying or just when you are laying down in the dark thinking. They always make my imagination run wild...

the_thina at 6:57 pm February 15

yes but this sounds very familiar. think I have heard them before after all

thewastelandr at 11:24 pm February 15

They are very popular with the "indie" movement here in the States. Underground music and such - very popular.

the_thina at 2:48 pm February 15

this was the first thing I ever saw/heard of them, afriend who lived in oslo at the moment had it with him home on video, I was sold on them after 3 seconds

I love that one, its a bit rocky horror, but its at least 10 years before rocky horror was created. <3

thewastelandr at 9:48 am February 15

Yes! Marvelous!
