Python crossword puzzle rejected

Read about my rejected Python crossword puzzle that I submitted to The New York Times in anticipation of last year's 40th anniversary. Includes links to download the puzzle so you can solve it yourself.

BTW, if anyone is able to get this link to Eric Idle, I think our beloved wordplay enthusiast would enjoy it.

Tanya_Birklid19: I can't seem to get it going. It's being a nar-nar.

genji: Oh what a good idea. Hope you don't mind but I didn't think yours was all that Python at all, really. It's probably right for the NY Times (although I suspect answers like 'IMLP' put them off) but not for a Python forum. So I had a little bash myself using one of those online crossword generators.

I've only gone and done a Series 2 one as well, haven't I?

P.S. There's a 'Solve Online' button at the bottom of the page.

Good one! i couldn't do it all but I managed about 3/4 of it.

Because you had no time or got bored, or because the clues were too obscure?

Partly because I couldn't remember some of the references, partly because I was trying to watch Wind in the Willows at the same time :-p

Isn't that movie just the coolest thing everrrr???

Yes it is! The funny thing is that I was also watching the court scene from Secret Policeman's Ball (a mix of several Python court sketches) & the whole angry defence lawyer character is also in Wind in the Willows!
