last night I was being bored in front of thepc again, and read some article about adrian edmonson where it says he is a HUGE fan of bonzo dog doo dah band. and it hit me. he wrote most of the script to the show the young ones, that makes me think his character vyvyan (the angry punkrocker) probobly got his name from vivian stanshall. and made me think, if they had one bonzo, its not completely impossible that the hippie neil that always is planning his suicide got his name from... well... neil innes.
the world is small sometimes, and it would be so cool, another reason to love the show (not that I needed more reasons to love it, but anyway)

and well, they wrote the most of it, but Im sure I rememberd hearing that ade did do some writing too, and where else would the name vyvyan come from? its not a common boys name as far as I know, and its *too much* of a coincidence to be one. :P
Yep, you're absolutely right, it is a bit more than a co-inkydink (that's a new stupid word i've picked up watching some american tv shows. Do you like it?). I always thought it was weird that Vyvyan, Neil and Mike had last names but Rick didn't. Mind you, their last names were 'Basterd', 'Pye' and 'Thecoolperson' : D

Kasmira: That's a good point! It makes sense. And Neil is a bit like Innes. Cute but not as cute as Innes... But the funniest is Vyvyan... Vivian was exactly an anarchist so it's hilarious caricature of him. And Neil is a hippie one :) For real.
well, lets just hope the real neil is as depressed as the fictional one.
dont know much about how vivian was as a person though, more than he was mainly conciderd as beeing a bit strange. but beeing strange is a good thing in my book. :)
Well, being honest, I don't know either much about Vivian as a person, but he was very interesting, because I'm into weird people! :D I'm going to take a mission to learn more about him :)
